About the Role
The Digital Design Director / UX is a strategic and creative leader responsible for shaping and elevating Rhythm’s digital experiences. This role will collaborate with the in-house creative team, ensuring all creative projects align with the company’s business objectives and mission. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders—including Product, Engineering, Branding, and CX teams—to deliver innovative, impactful work across all touchpoints.
Your ability to balance visionary thinking with tactical execution will drive digital consistency, enhance user experiences, and achieve measurable business outcomes. You will mentor and work alongside creative talent, setting a standard of excellence in both design and execution.
Responsibilities
Creative Leadership and Strategy
Act as the digital first design thought leader for Rhythm, driving a unified vision for UX design.
Collaborate with the Head of Marketing to align creative strategies with overarching business objectives.
Digital Campaign (SEO, Performance, CRO) Asset Development and Execution
Oversee SEO, CRO, & performance marketing initiatives by collaborating with and working alongside outside agency and Director of SEO re : lp design, pslp design, a / b test design approval & optimization
Develop and execute web and landing page strategies, ensuring alignment with campaign & business goals and a focus on ROI.
Lead the design and approval of campaign assets, including landing pages, templates, and ad creatives, ensuring performance-driven and visually compelling work.
UX and Digital Product Design
Partner with the product team to coordinate and enhance front-end development efforts, contributing to the design and usability of Rhythm’s digital experiences.
Oversee the creation of test-and-learn approaches for UX / UI enhancements, ensuring designs are informed by user insights and performance data. Close collaboration with Conversion agency to approve & formulate designs.
Attend GTM (Go-To-Market) meetings and relay critical product and campaign launch plans to the creative team.
Creative Team Coordination and Project Prioritization
Project manage the creative team’s workflow, setting clear priorities based on business impact and timelines.
Develop and implement scalable processes for managing creative projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables.
Partner with external agencies and freelancers as needed to scale creative output while maintaining brand consistency.
Performance Analysis and Reporting
Analyze the performance of creative assets across marketing campaigns, leveraging insights to inform iterative improvements.
Maintain a “test-and-learn” approach to creative development, optimizing designs based on data-driven insights.
Requirements
Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
8 years of experience in creative leadership roles within D2C, digital-first businesses, or startups.
Expertise in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and familiarity with design systems and frameworks.
Proven ability to lead and inspire creative teams, mentoring junior designers and fostering career growth.
Strong understanding of digital marketing channels (Facebook, Instagram, Email) and performance-based design.
Proficiency in UX / UI design and familiarity with HTML, CSS, and CMS platforms.
