Blending/Dispensing Operator Job Description

Time: 40 hours/week
Employment Type: Full-time (Non-Exempt)
SHIFT: Rotating, 5am - 5pm Monday – Thursday one week and 5am - 5pm Monday - Wednesday the second week, with occasional Fridays and Saturdays as needed.
PAY: $16-$18 D.O.E.
Start Date: ASAP
Primary Purpose:
The Blending/Dispensing Operator is responsible and accountable for established machine and shift productivity, quality, and yield requirements. Process raw materials and blends by weighing, packaging, transferring, sifting, and blending, while strictly following company SOP’s, and GMP’s, producing a high-quality product and meeting production schedule requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Weigh, package, transfer, sift, blend, document, and process raw material(s) within the Dispensing and Blending process.
- Perform all Dispensing and Blending activities and procedures according to company work instructions, SOP’s, and follow cGMP’s.
- Match all labels with batch records.
- Document dispensing/blending process information as per SOP.
- Load, operate, and unload dispensing/blending machines.
- Perform to established productivity, quality, and yield requirements.
- Perform and document operation runs in compliance with batch records, SOP's, and any other required documentation.
- Perform computer transactions associated with material used in the batching process if necessary.
- Operate both electrical and pneumatic controlled equipment.
- Cross train and demonstrate competency in all essential job functions of the dispensing/blending department.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Competencies/Skill Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing experience and work in a GMP regulated industry preferred.
- Basic computer skills including Windows navigation and data entry if necessary.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
- Ability to read, interpret and execute written instructions.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, combine multiple units of measure, and calculate fractions and decimals.
- Ability to solve practical problems.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure.
