The Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Education Specialist on the IDEA team. This position will support the work of the agency in implementing high-quality curriculum and instructional practices at the secondary level for differently abled students, support the implementation of the RI Readiness-based Secondary Regulations, coordinate Secondary Transition requirements, and other deliverables related to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The ideal candidate will demonstrate a complete understanding of the IDEA as well as experience with implementing high quality curriculum in secondary education and secondary transition requirements. Strong communication and organization skills are essential.
