Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) is comprised of over 120 exceptionally skilled and experienced radiologists who provide professional radiology interpretation services to hospitals, surgery centers and private physician practices across Colorado, Nebraska, Kansas, and Hawaii; they also provide those services to our joint-ventured outpatient imaging system, Invision Sally Jobe, which consists of eleven imaging centers in the Denver metro area.
Almost all of our radiologists are fellowship-trained in their field of specialty, some are double-fellowship trained, and many hold Certificates of Additional Qualifications. Our radiologists have studied and trained at some of the most prestigious educational and healthcare institutions in the nation, and our interventional radiologists perform some of the most cutting-edge treatments available today. Summary of Position:
The Medical Assistant (MA) Responsibilities will include directing workflow, triaging questions/concerns, rooming patients and communicating with providers, and assisting with other duties as outlined below. As part of the RIA Endovascular team you represent this practice all comments, attitudes, actions and behaviors have a direct effect on the facilities image and perception of quality service. Interaction with patients, physicians, referral sources, co-worker must be in manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative and professional.
Job Responsibilities:
- Represent RIA IR and the providers with integrity by being the main contact for outpatient coordination at the Northern Colorado RIA Endovascular Clinic.
- Assist Supervisor in maintaining daily operations of Northern Colorado RIA Endovascular Clinic
- Maintain and order all supplies; medical and office to include weekly medication checklist for expiration dates
- Work with providers/supervisor to create monthly clinic schedule for office visits
- Create monthly office staff schedule
- Work with partner facilities on prior authorizations for specific IR procedures
- Work with Banner scheduling to schedule specific IR procedures
- Schedule peer-to-peer reviews with providers and insurance companies as needed
- Assist supervisor as needed with marketing and outreach and problem-solving office issues
- Assist supervisor regarding employee staffing
Experience/Skill Requirements:
- Medical Assistant Certification required
- Solid knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Ability to handle multiple clerical/administrative tasks and work in fast paced environment

Experience/Skill Requirements:
- Previous experience as Medical Assistant required
- Excellent customer service skills with ability to effectively communicate with internal staff/radiologists, referring physician offices, and patients
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Medical terminology and scheduling experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Team player
- Organized and detail oriented
- Computer skills and knowledge
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
- Must be dependable, flexible and reliable
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
Compensation is between $23.00 to $27.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.
In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Radiology Imaging Associates reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. This position will accept applications on an ongoing basis and will remain open until filled.
