Job Summary
Under the direction of an assigned Administrator or Supervisor, perform a variety of instructional activities; assist the classroom teacher in presenting intensified learning experiences; perform supportive tasks for instructional personnel; perform other job-related duties as assigned and / or as required.

Successful completion of the District Instructional Assistant Proficiency Test (passing of a rigorous assessment that demonstrates the knowledge of an ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics at a level meeting State and Federal requirements is required).

Test date and location to be determined after the position closes. Qualified applicants will be notified by e-mail regarding the date, time, and location of the test. No late arrivals will be admitted. Picture ID is required. Qualified applicants will be contacted via e-mail regarding the status of the process.
All offers of employment are made contingent upon the applicant passing a pre-employment physical examination and upon receipt of information from the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation that the applicant is not prohibited from being employed. FOREIGN TRANSCRIPT EVALUATION
Individuals who have completed course work at an institution in a country other than the United States must obtain a complete evaluation of foreign transcripts / degrees, prior to applying for a position, and attach a copy to the application electronically. The foreign transcripts must be evaluated by one of the approved organizations, listed on the Rialto Unified School District website, in order to be accepted. These organizations are private enterprises who charge a fee for their services. Individuals pursuing a foreign transcript evaluation must follow the procedures outlined by the organization providing the evaluation. In all instances, original, official documentation will be required when requesting the evaluation.
Note : To obtain examination credits, veterans must electronically attach a copy of a DD214 (proof of service and / or disability) verification to the application.

Note : Applicants who have previously passed the written examination for this position, and do not wish to retest, must submit a copy of their passing score e-mail notification by electronically attaching it to their application and you will not be required to retake the written test again. However, If you choose to retest and your new score is lower, the higher passing score will remain on record for the life of the certification list. If the written examination has been revised and / or modified, you will be required to re-test.
