Ricardo Defense is seeking a Logistics Supply Manager to support our Department of Defense (DoD) customer at their Warren, MI location. This is a rewarding opportunity for a Logistics Supply Manager who will be responsible for coordination of incoming and outgoing supplies, inspect, inventory, stock, store, issue and delivery of all supplies and equipment, as well as maintaining physical control of all supplies and equipment. This Logistics Supply Manager must be adept at working directly with both OEM suppliers and the Military Supply System on a day-to-day basis relaying material requirement in addition to providing longer term forecasts as required.
This Logistics Supply Manager will be responsible for developing and perform logistics and product lifecycle support activities with minimal oversite. This will include various military/defense markets including planning, directing, and coordinating the storage and distribution of raw materials and supplies within the assigned organization. This Logistics Supply Manager will oversee the financial transactions related to the Supply Support provided. Prior experience with any DoD supply support (Logistician) would be ideal but is not mandatory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of Army Supply System, Tier 1-3 OEM Supply chain, material planning, receiving, and shipping
- Experience with Federal Supply System, MILSTRIP, or FedMall
- Expert inventory planning, forecasting, and purchasing of parts
- Manage inventory based on demand, forecasting, and customer agreements
- Establish Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), safety stocks, reorder points, etc.
- Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and process that support inventory forecasting
- Manage activities related to material requirements planning (MRP), procurement, material flow and inventory control and warehousing
- Material Management & Asset Visibility
- In-transit material where components are between locations but not yet recorded as received
- In-storage stocks where items are available from inventory
- Maintain records of product deliveries to customer facilities
- Establish re-order quantities for stock levels
- Maintain material flow accountability utilizing SAP software
- Help achieve 100% parts availability for assembly/shipping operations
- Remove bottlenecks and obstacles to create a clear path for all logistics operations
- Detailed inventory management and cycle counting
- Preparing reports/presentations/briefings using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat software
- Gathering, coordinating, validating, and submitting documentation required to execute contracting actions as necessary
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a United States Secret clearance and Common access card. The minimum requirement to obtain a clearance is US citizenship. Only applicants that meet this requirement will be considered
- Bachelor’s degree and seven years of experience in a relevant field or a Masters degree and one year of experience in a relevant field
- Experience as a 92A or 92Y a plus
- Experience with Army Supply System
- Experience with MILSTRIP, Federal Supply System, or FedMall
- Experience in material planning and production scheduling using an integrated ERP system in a manufacturing environment
- Strong, organizing, prioritizing, communication, written and analytical skills
- Strong knowledge of best practice processes
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment

Salary : $80,000 - $92,500
