Senior Hardware Engineer, Lead, Digital Design, Energy System, Hybrid, Dallas
Lead the development of hardware subsystems from inception to production release. You will be responsible for all facets of hardware design, including schematic design and overseeing PCB layouts. Assess the manufacturability of hardware, including BOM, fabrication, assembly, packaging, and process/techniques used in production. Work in a can-do environment with less bureaucracy.

What will you be doing?
- Report to the CTO
- Work in a small team of 5 Engineers, Software, and QA
- Lead and senior role overseeing all hardware design and development and working with contract manufacturing through release
- New digital board design, ensure all features and functionality are incorporated into the design
- Design for testability and manufacturability
- Provide and maintain a schedule for prototype and early production deliverables.
- Generate and maintain Bill of Materials(BOMS)
- Investigate and specify new components as needed
- Write test plans for component qualification and design verification.
- Perform sustaining engineering tasks involving legacy products as needed
- Conduct hardware test plans
- Work with the contract manufacturer to resolve any quality issues
- Work with compliance agencies when product certifications are required
What are the minimum qualifications?
- Bachelor or Master in Electrical Engineering
- Senior level experience, prefer 10 years
- High-speed digital board design and memory system design
- PCB schematics and layout experience
- Experience with PADS or similar PCB design software
- Experience with test methodologies and use of test equipment
- Experience working with contract manufacturers or in-house manufacturing
- Experience working with product certification and compliance agency
- Very good to excellent communication skills
