Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Production Manager for overseeing and managing all aspects of the production process to ensure efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective operations. This role requires strong leadership to drive production goals, maintain quality standards, and promote a safe and productive work environment. The Production Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality control, maintenance, logistics and sales, to achieve operational excellence and meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily production operations to meet production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
- Lead and manage production teams, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure high team performance.
- Monitor production processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards across all production operations.
- Develop and maintain production schedules to optimize labor, materials, and equipment utilization.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to minimize equipment downtime and ensure all machinery is operating effectively.
- Track and report key production metrics, including output, efficiency, waste, and downtime, to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support production demands while minimizing excess inventory.
- Participate in cost reduction and process improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency and reduce production costs.
- Lead and promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability within the production team.
- Resolve production issues or delays promptly and communicate updates to VPO.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Working demonstrated experience will be taken into consideration in lieu of degree.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in production or manufacturing management.
· Proven experience in leading production teams and driving operational performance.
· Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control standards.
· Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
· Ability to analyze production data and implement process improvements.
· Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
· Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in a manufacturing environment.
· Proficient in production planning software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in manufacturing, production, or a highly regulated industry.
· Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality assurance methodologies in cement production.
· Knowledge of environmental and sustainability standards related to cement manufacturing.
· Minimum of three-five (3-5) years of experience in a professional management role.
· Experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
· Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.
· Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety management practices.

Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays to support operational needs.
Operational Hours 8-hour shift; 5 days p/wk. OR 10-hour shift; 4 days p/wk.
Basic Qualifications
· 18 years or older with high school diploma/GED.
· Speak and understand English well enough to communicate effectively. Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
· Must be able to legally work in the US and provide supporting documentation.
· Mentally alert and physically able cross train and perform all positions and functions.
