Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cement Quality Control Manager to oversee and enhance our quality assurance processes within our cement manufacturing plant. The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing quality control policies, conducting inspections, and ensuring that cement products meet established quality standards and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management systems, cement production processes, regulatory compliance, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and policies specific to cement production.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and customer requirements, including ASTM, AASHTO, and other relevant standards.
- Supervise and train quality control staff to uphold quality assurance standards in cement manufacturing.
- Conduct raw material, in-process, and final product inspections, audits, and testing to identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee laboratory operations, ensuring accurate testing of cement properties such as fineness, consistency, strength, and setting time.
- Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions in cement production.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to enhance product quality and optimize processes.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives in cement manufacturing.
- Prepare and present quality reports to management and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to quality control processes.
- Stay up to date with advancements in quality management, regulatory requirements, and cement production technology.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in quality management, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Experience in lieu of degree will be taken into consideration.
· Proven experience in quality control, quality assurance, or a related managerial role within the cement manufacturing industry.
· Strong knowledge of cement quality management systems (ISO 9001, ASTM, AASHTO, etc.).
· Experience with cement testing procedures, laboratory equipment, and quality assurance methodologies.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
· Strong leadership and team management abilities.
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in quality inspection tools, data analysis, and reporting software.
· Attention to detail and commitment to upholding high standards of quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Certifications such as Six Sigma, ASQ Certified Quality Manager, or related credentials.
· Experience in manufacturing, production, or a highly regulated industry.
· Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality assurance methodologies in cement production.
· Knowledge of environmental and sustainability standards related to cement manufacturing.
· Minimum of three-five (3-5) years of experience in a professional management role.
· Minimum of five- ten (5-10) years in quality operations or relevant work experience.
