Job Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist operates imaging equipment, including CT, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. This role requires working in a multi-tasking environment, providing imaging services for both emergency and routine medical needs. In a Critical Access Hospital setting, the Technologist collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of patients while obtaining the necessary images.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and position patients, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Monitor protocols and recommend updates as warranted.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Perform ECGs.
- Perform CT examinations.
- Assist with scheduling and patient preparation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements and Essential Functions:
- Take call one day a week, including rotating holidays and weekends.
- Work four 10-hour shifts weekly.
- Maintain a 30-minute call-back time.
Qualifications and Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts.
- ARRT certification required.
- Current BLS certification.
- CT experience preferred.
