Job Title: Registration Lead
Department: Patient Registration
Reports To: Director of Financial Services
Job Summary:
The Registration Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the patient registration team, which handles the registration of patients for outpatient and emergency services. This role ensures that registration processes are efficient, accurate, and aligned with hospital policies. The Lead will also play a key role in the integration of Phreesia with TruBridge, assist with process improvements, and provide coverage for registration shifts as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the patient registration team, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Build positive relationships with team members and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Develop and implement sound registration processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Oversee the integration and implementation of Phreesia with TruBridge, serving as a key resource for the registration team.
- Hold staff accountable for registration errors and work with them to improve accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor daily workflows and ensure adequate staffing coverage, including stepping in to cover shifts when necessary.
- Train and mentor registration staff, providing ongoing support.
- Address patient and staff concerns related to the registration process in a professional and timely manner.
- Collaborate with other hospital departments to ensure seamless patient intake and registration experiences.
- Assist in tracking registration metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in patient registration, medical office administration, or a similar healthcare setting required.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of healthcare registration processes, insurance verification, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with EHR systems (TruBridge preferred) and familiarity with patient intake platforms like Phreesia is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and lead a team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
