Job Summary
Examples of Duties
- Answers four-line receptionist phone and directs call to appropriate resource, greets visitors, and performs receptionist duties for the Social Services Department.
- Provides a variety of administrative support duties for the Social Services Department such as copying, scanning and faxing documents.
- Performs daily processing of incoming and outgoing mail.
- Performs record keeping and filing responsibilities.
- Using the EBT Edge program, creates EBT cards, links cards to client case, tracks distribution of cards, and assists client with pinning their cards and answers client questions about issues with existing cards. Coordinates with the financial unit when a card is mailed to our address, ensuring address gets updated after delivery.
- Creates maintenance work orders for routine issues and calls maintenance directly if there is an urgent need.
- Performs special assignments and other miscellaneous support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The position requires a high school diploma or general education degree and one to three years of office experience or equivalent.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish and/or English/Somali). Post-secondary education in office work.
Supplemental Information
HIRING RANGE / UNION: $21.82 - $30.55 per hour / SS Unit – Grade 5
HOURS: Normal working hours are 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Full-time hours equal 40 hours per week.
