Rice Lake, a leading self-performing general contractor specializing in the construction of water and wastewater treatment plants in the Upper Midwest, is hiring a Trimble Technician to support our project delivery and VDC teams in Minnesota and The Dakotas. Position Overview
The Trimble Technician will operate and maintain Trimble GPS and surveying equipment, conduct site surveys, data collection, and analysis to support project planning and execution, collaborate with construction teams, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Trimble systems and software, and provide training and support to field personnel on the use of Trimble equipment and software on jobsites.
Education and Background
Associate degree or technical diploma in surveying, civil engineering technology, geospatial science, or related field preferred - high school diploma with 3-4 years practical experience performing described tasks accepted.
Practical Knowledge
Construction Means and Methods, Site Layout, Math and Complex Calculations, Trimble GPS, Total Stations, Data Collection Tools, and Proficient Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
Work Experience
2-5 years of experience as a Trimble Technician or similar surveying/technology role within the civil construction industry is required. The experience should include hands-on use of Trimble equipment and software. Work in water and wastewater treatment plant construction is helpful but not required.
Computer Skills Applied
Trimble GPS, total stations, data collection tools, Microsoft Office Products like Word and Excel, and various cloud based portals.

Compensation
