What are the responsibilities and job description for the Beam Line Operator -2nd shift position at Rice Lake Weighing Syst?
Job Summary
The Beam Line Operator punches and cuts steel to length for welding operations; using the cranes and forklifts to move steel beams. The Beam Line Operator controls the conveyer system to move materials and operates the scaling machine. The individual works in a manner in which quality of work and safety are top priorities; part of this responsibility is to keep the work area organized and as clean as possible while working. The Beam Line Operator completes additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications/Prerequisites
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) or more years machine shop experience.
Skills
Good communications skills.
The use of measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
Some blueprint reading skills.
Certificates, licenses, training, or other job-related requirements
No current restrictions prohibiting lifting, bending, or twisting up to 50 lbs.
