Located in scenic northwestern Wisconsin just 90 miles from Minneapolis, RLWS offers big city careers in a small-town atmosphere. We are seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our team! A Marketing Specialist is a marketing project manager in the marketing department. You will strategize, plan, collaboratively develop, and execute marketing campaigns for multiple product lines for Rice Lake Weighing Systems. You will be the primary marketing liaison for your product lines as you work with product management, engineering, sales and other departments. You will manage and strategize channel-specific marketing materials for our key channels, including: website content, print advertisements, POS literature, email, social media, technical documentation and many others. You will work closely with copywriters, graphic designers, digital marketers, trade show managers, technical writers and others within the marketing department to create compelling and effective marketing campaigns across the globe. This is a dynamic position that requires a critical thinking multi-tasker to keep many active projects organized and moving forward to promote the Rice Lake brand and support our many distributors around the world. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/MAJOR TASKS
- Manage a large workload with overlapping timelines for a variety of stakeholders
- Project management: Plan, develop schedules, and implement activities to develop marketing deliverables across a wide variety of channels
- Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Product Managers to accurately position products in all deliverables
- Work closely with Marketing Project Coordinators to implement marketing activities
- Work independently and with other department and organization staff in planning and executing internal and external communications programs, campaign planning, and other marketing initiatives
- Frequent contact with customers regarding a variety of customer support needs
- Work with stakeholders to arrange vendor services for printing, ad placement, and other services to ensure that marketing deliverables are cost effective and within budget
- Plan meetings, presentations and special events and participate and represent department in these activities
- Participate in cross-department and organizational teams as assigned
- Research and stay current on all marketing topics, channels and trends to compile market research for new product development and market campaigns
- Perform frequent audits for assigned product lines
- Ensure new products, features and specifications are current and effectively communicated across all channels of customer contact
- Measure effectiveness of activities and presents findings to stakeholders throughout the year
- Monitor trade show schedule and work with Director of Marketing, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure assigned product lines are represented in application-specific methods at all shows
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business or related field
- Five (5) or more years of practical experience providing product marketing support within a company or corporation, with an emphasis on project management across a wide variety of channels
- Industrial marketing experience preferred

- Works well in a team
- Ability to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively
- Detail oriented and organized
- International marketing experience a plus
Certificates, Licenses, Training, or Other Job-related Requirements
- The ability to travel when required to dealer and end user sites, trade shows, and other work-related functions
