What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plasma Operator position at Rice Lake Weighing Syst?
For over 75 years, Rice Lake Weighing Systems has been a successful, growth-oriented company known as a leader in the weighing industry and our community.
At RLWS, the plasma operator performs basic plasma/flame cutting operations on mild and stainless-steel material to company standards. The plasma operator must use hand tools to deburr and cut items. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES:
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Basic Functions
- Performs basic plasma/flame cutting operations on mild and stainless-steel material to standards.
- Uses hand tool to deburr cut items. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Essential Job Functions/Major Tasks
- Work in a manner in which quality of work and safety while performing work are top priorities.
- Keep work area organized and as clean as possible while working and clean up all tooling, machinery and work area when finished with each job. Notify direct supervisor of any equipment or tooling that is damaged or not working properly.
- Maintain accurate records of time and quantities, etc. If you know of incorrect time or quantity in folder, notify supervisor so it can be corrected.
Skills
- Good communications skills.
- Good powered hand tool skills.
- Some blueprint reading skills.
