For over 76 years, Rice Lake Weighing Systems has been a successful, growth-oriented company known as a leader in the weighing industry and our community. We have remained busy and now are seeking a Robot Operator to join our team!
Rice Lake Weighing Systems is seeking a Robot Operator to join our dedicated Truck Scale Fabrication Department on second shift. Employees in this department build the toughest scales on earth, our SURVIVOR Truck Scales. Our Robot Operators will using various types of welding equipment in different positions to ensure high quality products while following safe work practices. This position may be eligible for our new $100/week incentive based on performance and hours worked! Apply to learn more.
Duties and Responsibilities
Some of your duties may include:
- Operating carbon air-arc, pencil grinders, disk grinders, cutoff wheel and other hand tools
- Layout and fit various parts and assemblies
- Welding in a variety of positions such as flat, vertical, horizonal and overhead
- Keeping an organized, clean and safe work area in a fast-paced environment
You’ll also need to be able to:
- Frequently bend, crouch, and reach during shifts
- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds
- Occasionally operate a forklift, overhead crane or other lift equipment
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience or a 1-year welding certificate from an accredited school or equivalent training program
Skills
- Good communication skills
- Good hand eye coordination and dexterity
- Strong math skills
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to efficiently read a tape measure and other inspection tools
Certificate, Licenses, Training, and Other Job-Related Requirements
No current lifting restrictions up to 50lbs.
Pass practical welding tests and written assessments as a part of the pre-employment process.
