What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder - 2nd Shift - $3.00 Shift Pay position at Rice Lake Weighing Syst?
At RLWS a truck scale welder performs MIG and TIG welding to satisfactory product standards and specifications. The welder operates pencil grinders, disk grinders, cutoff wheels, hand drills, and other metal working hand tools; and must have the ability to use basic measuring equipment including calipers, steel rules, tape measures, electronic scales, manual scales, sealing beams to ensure product quality. QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) or more years welding experience
Skills
- Good blueprint reading skills
- Good hand tool skills
- Good communication skills
- Strong math skills
Certificates, licenses, training, or other job-related requirements
- Candidate must pass a practical weld test, written weld test and math\measurement test during the interview process
- No current restrictions prohibiting regular lifts up to 50 lbs
- No current restrictions prohibiting infrequent lifts up to 100 lbs
