BASIC FUNCTION:
At Rice Lake Weighing Systems, The Programmer/Analyst performs basic programming and application maintenance on new or existing ERP systems and internal intranet portal systems. Works with system users in the development of programming requirements, ensures that all system programs operate efficiently. Maintains daily system maintenance and hardware/software functions. Work with team on various programming projects throughout the facility and branch offices. Ensure internal customer satisfaction with services provided.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR TASKS:
- Performs basic programming and application maintenance on new or existing ERP systems programs including intranet systems. May create or modify computer system business applications using .NET, JavaScript, SQL and ERP specific languages.
- Maintain and create relational database file systems in conjunction with application development.
- Debug current application software and modify/fix within established software modification guidelines.
- Working with system users, solve business challenges using information systems hardware, software and/or practices.
- Ensure assigned divisions and departments are utilizing Rice Lake Weighing Systems information systems in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Perform user set-ups including logins and menu changes. Instructs new and existing users on system conventions and proper usage procedures.
- Establish and maintain open working relationships with information systems users.
- Diagnose and correct business information problems in a timely and efficient manner without jeopardizing Rice Lake Weighing Systems' corporate database information and keeping information down-time to a minimum.
- Troubleshoot existing and creating new programs for departments as new ideas for continuous improvement are envisioned and as organization grows.
- Search out and participate, when approved, in further education, seminars, independent reading to develop skills as defined by the Manager.
- Other job functions as assigned by the Manager.

Education and Experience:
- AA Degree in MIS or related field and two (2) years related business experience, or BA Degree in MIS, or five (5) or more years equivalent business experience.
- One (1) or more years of experience with ERP systems.
- Some Internet/Intranet development experience using .NET, JavaScript and SQL.
- Good verbal and written communications skills.
- Good hand tool skills.
- Good organization and interpersonal skills.
