What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Worker/Shop Tech position at Rice Tire?
Job Description:
We are looking for a Warehouse Worker to assist with various warehouse duties such as, stacking commercial truck tires, cleaning and maintaining grounds. Must be able to able to lift consistently between 75 to 100 lbs. Candidate may also be required to assist in the shop with duties that may include changing tires, tire maintenance and repairs. Experience preferred, but willing to train the right applicant.
What you will be doing:
- Stacking commercial Truck Tires
- Cleaning and maintaining grounds to include the warehouse
- Help in the Shop as needed
- Mount & Dismount Tires
- Conduct tire maintenance including balance, rotations, and alignment.
- Conduct tire repairs as needed including patching and plugging.
- Clean hubs and wheels
Schedule: Day Shift, Monday through Friday
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift consistently between 75 and 100 pounds.
- Acceptable pre-employment drug screening and background check
Desired Qualifications:
- Safety conscious, respectful, honest, strong work ethic, and enjoys being part of a team
- Knowledge of various tire brands, types, and sizes
- Ability to operate and maintain tire equipment & machinery.
- Experience operating a forklift
Pay Range: $18.00 -$20.00/hr. Competitive pay, depending upon experience; overtime may be required.
