VDOT Job Title : Lead Business Analyst - BISD
The Lead Business Analyst - BISD role will serveas the lead of an experienced team of business analysts, responsible for guidingand supporting the analysis, documentation of requirements, and improvement ofbusiness processes across multiple projects. This role combines mentorship withhands-on analytical work, driving successful project delivery by ensuring thatbusiness requirements are well understood, clearly documented, and aligned withthe organization's goals.
Key Responsibilities :
Support :
Assign, prioritize, and oversee teamworkloads to ensure optimal performance and timely project delivery.
Oversee the gathering and analysis ofbusiness requirements, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business needs.
Ensure consistent use of requirementsmanagement tools and methodologies within the team.
Stakeholder Engagement :
Collaborate with project managers,product owners, and other key stakeholders to prioritize backlogs, mitigaterisks, and ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor and track progress on multipleprojects, ensuring that business analysts deliverables meet quality standardsand timelines.
Lead efforts in testing andvalidation, ensuring solutions meet business needs before deployment.
Collaboration :
Drive cross-functional initiatives,ensuring alignment between business goals and technical implementations.
Qualifications :
- 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing or mentoring teams.
- Proven experience translating complex business requirements into clear, actionable documentation (user stories, acceptance criteria, etc.).
- Expertise in process modeling, root cause analysis, and process improvement initiatives.
- Experience working with enterprise-level systems and multi-module applications.
- Experience with statistical tools and data analysis is a plus.
- Leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and process mapping tools.
