Job Description:
Operates system that conveys rice product from storage bins to barges. Drafts and moves barge so product can be loaded.
Job Duties
- Ability to work on water.
- Knowledge of a barge (e.g. different parts and how to load).
- Ability to work in extreme variations of outside temperatures and weather conditions.
- Knowledge of all required paperwork.
- Knowledge of all conveying system as it relates to barge loading.
- Perform light maintenance work and a variety of sanitation duties daily.
- Responsible for complying with all safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices set forth by company.
- Performs daily inspections of equipment, notifies management of need for repairs.
- Recommend and implement process improvements as approved.
- Consult with supervisor as needed.
- Work within a team environment.
- Complete SA logs as required.
- Greet and communicate with visitors and represent the company in a professional manner.
- Ability to work with numbers for draft purposes.
- Be able to communicate with Harbor Service as needed.
- Any other duties related and needed by the company.
- Safety sensitive position.
Basic Requirements:
High school diploma or GED plus specialized training and/or additional college courses and two years of related experience and/or training.
Minimum Requirements:
1-6 months of experience.
