Packaging Tech II
Job Location: Stuttgart Rice Division Stuttgart, AR.
M-F 3p-11p with some extended daily hours and weekend work possible.
Hours worked from 5pm - 6am Monday – Thursday will receive a 15% shift premium. All hours worked Friday 5pm - Monday 6am will receive a 15% shift premium.

Job Description
Maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair packaging equipment, case and bale packers, bag sewing equipment, palletizers and conveying equipment, including motor controls and electronics circuits.
Job Duties
- All duties of Packaging Technician I & Packaging Technician II
- Make needed repairs to any and all production and conveying equipment in either the Packaging or Bag Sewing departments.
- Work closely with service technicians, equipment installers and contractors in a professional manner.
- Order parts and monitor/control the inventory of parts and tools.
- Provide guidance and instruction to Packaging Technician I as needed.
- Report all equipment problems to supervisor or department manager.
- Be able to be contacted for “on-call” work to assist when needed after hours and on the weekends.
- Follow all safety rules, GMP’s and HARPC procedures when performing maintenance tasks.
- All other jobs as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of related work experience or a 2-year degree in Electronics Technology.
- Ability to perform all the duties of Packaging Technician I.
- Understanding of hand tools, electronics diagnostic instruments, and electronic circuitry.
- Ability to work from equipment manuals and blue prints.
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers packaging, processing, and conveying equipment.
- Must be able to work at heights of 30 feet or more.
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in tight spaces, climb ladders, ride man-lift vertical belt conveyor.
- Must be able to left 100 lbs.
- Must be able to drive industrial vehicles.
