Job Description
Install new equipment, form and construct steel and sheet metal for construction projects, and do minor plumbing work.
Job Duties
Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for plant safety by observing persons entering your work area, asking if you can assist them, and reporting unauthorized persons to your supervisor. Attend training as required or approved by supervisor.
Perform welding and cutting, rigging of materials, sheet metal fabrication and layout, steel construction, process equipment installation, plumbing, interpret CAD drawings.
Education Requirements
Minimum: High school diploma or general education degree (GED): and one to three months related experience and/or training.
Preferred: One year certificate from college or technical school; and three to six months related experience and/or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
