Overview : We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our Behavioral Health team. The LPC will be responsible for providing individual, group, and family counseling services to clients dealing with a range of emotional, behavioral, and psychological concerns. The ideal candidate will possess a deep commitment to helping others, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our team to create personalized treatment plans for each client.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide individual, couples, family, and group counseling sessions to clients of diverse backgrounds, addressing a variety of mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, and stress management.
- Conduct initial assessments to understand clients' mental health needs and create individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and others, based on the client’s needs.
- Monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain confidential records of client sessions and progress in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical providers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health care through continuing education, workshops, and other professional development opportunities.
- Provide crisis intervention as necessary and manage high-risk clients appropriately.
- Adhere to all state regulations, ethical guidelines, and professional standards for mental health counseling.
