HOSPITALITY ASSOCIATE / INTERN
JOB DESCRIPTION: Rich Harvest Farms is a unique, private golf club located 40 miles west of downtown
Chicago. The selected individuals will be run through every facet of banquet service, hotel service, inventory and ordering, and assist in other capacities dealing with Golf Operations, Clubhouse Operations, a la carte dining and housekeeping. This job is also open to College Students seeking internship or school credit
REPORTS TO: HOSPITALITY DIRECTOR
JOB RESPONIBILITIES:
- Assist in the operation of on-property lodging including but not limited to concierge service, valet service, bell-hop service, front desk service, and housekeeping service
- Assist in the operation of food service operations including but not limited to event setup, event operations, event clean-up, banquet server, a la carte server, expeditor, and kitchen steward
- Assist with other departments such as Golf Operations, Clubhouse Operations, and Grounds when deemed necessary by superiors
- Maintain yourself to the high standards set by Rich Harvest Farms in appearance, demeanor, and communicating with Members, guests, and other staff
- Assist with specified management duties, meetings, and protocol as directed by superiors
- Adhere to local and state health and safety regulations
- Relating to superiors academic requirements and other benchmarks that need to be fulfilled during tenure
- Complete all other duties as assigned by supervisors
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Work varied shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, kneeling, bending, lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs. without restriction
- Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools and/or controls
- Must be able to work in close quarters and be exposed to hot, cold, wet, and/or humid conditions and work environmental factors including noise, dust, and smoke
- Must be able to work without direct supervision at times
- Prefer individuals that are able to work the complete season (May – November) but can accommodate as necessary
