What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Representative position at Rich Ice Cream?
The Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales and building strong customer relationships within the food service, schools and distribution industry. This role involves prospecting for new school K-12 business and attending industry trade shows. Solicitation and presentations will be completed via calls, in person and zoom as required.
Essential Job Functions
- Leveraging prospects for new customers within the target market
- Presentations via phone, web calls and in person as directed
- Communication with internal and external distributors and school decision-makers
- Understanding K 12 programs and selling Rich Ice Cream marketing messaging
- Identifying market changes in the State / District and local for Smart Snacks Regulations
- Attend industry trade shows and conferences as directed
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries
- Generate accurate sales reports tracing results
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop effective sales strategies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and competitor activities
Qualifications
- Presentation and communication skills
- Consumer Products experience
- Proven sales experience in the food industry
- Understanding of K-12 and Smart Snacks programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport and trust with customers
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to travel 30 %
