What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Rich's Car Wash?
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician to service our locations throughout Auburn, Opelika and Valley. There are also some locations in the Atlanta Metro Market included in the service area. This role will be responsible for the repair and service of our equipment and needs to be ready to grow with the company. The ideal candidate is attentive to detail, has a sense of self-awareness (strong emotional intelligence, understanding of their role, asking for and learning from feedback), confident, does well under pressure, has the ability to multitask, and anticipative.
This role will report to the Maintenance Manager to address maintenance priorities while minimizing impact to production. The position requires a complete understanding of the company’s culture, priorities, and deadlines. A good attitude and strong work ethic are a must.

Experience:
We are looking for someone who has 1-2 year of trade school or equivalent in-field technical experience. Supervisory and/ or Lead experience is a plus to be able to have to facilitate growth with the company. The ideal candidate would If you have a good attitude and a strong work ethic, this might be the job for you. Strong attention to detail and seeing things through to completion are a must.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of duties related to maintaining and servicing machinery and backroom equipment
- Travel between stores and provide routine scheduled maintenance and unscheduled breakdown repairs
- Moderate experience troubleshooting, resolving, and testing in at least four of the following competencies:
- Electrical
- Mechanical aptitude
- Hydraulics
- Welding
- Pneumatics
- Plumbing
- Read and interpret manuals, work orders, schematics, and other equipment documentation
- Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other equipment as needed
- Comply with all safety guidelines, procedures, and PPE requirements at all times
- Work efficiently and effectively when juggling multiple projects
- Positive attitude; ability to be flexible when adopting new processes and procedures
- Follow all appearance, uniform, and grooming standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years moderate- to advanced-level experience in breakdown industrial and production maintenance preferred
- Moderate experience in at least four of the following competencies:
- Electrical, mechanical aptitude, hydraulics, welding, pneumatics, and plumbing
- The ability to juggle multiple projects while working individually and as a member of a team
- A sense of urgency and dedication to minimizing site downtime
- The availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and on-call hours
- Desire to be active outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions
- The ability to lift up to 75 pounds, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, perform repetitive motions, see variations in color, and climb and work from ladders
Upon offer, selected candidates are required to complete a pre-hire background check and driving history review; Maintenance Technicians must maintain a valid driver’s license with no restrictions as a condition of employment
