Position Summary
The Logistics & Warehouse Operations Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing shipping logistics while also assisting with general warehouse operations as needed. This role ensures accurate and timely product shipments, maintains smooth warehouse operations, and supports communication with international suppliers. Fluency in Chinese is required to facilitate effective coordination with overseas manufacturers and vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Logistics
- Utilize FedEx Shipping Manager software for processing and managing shipments.
- Coordinate, prepare, and ship Less-than-Truckload (LTL) freight.
- Negotiate shipping rates with 3PL providers and brokers.
- Print shipping labels and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Track shipments and resolve transit-related issues.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading).
- Communicate with domestic and international freight carriers, suppliers, and customers.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address shipping-related inquiries.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and generate reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve shipping processes and reduce costs.
Warehouse Operations & General Duties
- Assist in receiving, stocking, and organizing inventory in the warehouse.
- Perform quality control checks on incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse space.
- Support general warehouse tasks and fulfillment operations as required.
Qualifications
Language & Communication
- Fluency in Chinese and English (spoken and written) is required.
- Ability to effectively communicate with overseas manufacturers and coordinate between the U.S. and China teams.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum of 2 years in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with FedEx Shipping Manager software.
- Familiarity with LTL shipping and working with 3PL logistics providers.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve shipping and inventory issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and lift/move products as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week) | Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
