Geoprobe Driller

Overview
Goettle is seeking a skilled and motivated Geoprobe Driller to join our team. In this role, you will operate Geoprobe direct push drilling rigs to collect soil, groundwater, and vapor samples for environmental and geotechnical investigations (preconstruction drilling).

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work outdoors in various conditions. This position requires frequent travel and a willingness to obtain a Class A CDL within 90 days if not already held.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate Geoprobe direct push drilling rigs for soil and groundwater sampling.
• Conduct environmental site investigations in compliance with project specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on drilling equipment.
• Work closely with project managers and field teams to ensure accurate sample collection.
• Properly log soil conditions and sampling data in field reports.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company safety regulations.
• Transport and set up drilling equipment at job sites following safety and DOT guidelines.
• Prevent cross-contamination by following proper equipment setup and transport procedures.
• Troubleshoot drilling issues and make real-time adjustments as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of drill rigs, tools, and work areas.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating Geoprobe or similar drilling rigs.
• Class A CDL required or ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to travel frequently for project assignments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
