The Payroll Manager will be responsible for preparing and processing weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations. Experience with union labor payroll is required.Responsibilities Collecting and reviewing weekly employee timesheet data for correct codingEntering employee data and payroll codes / rates into payroll / accounting software and administrative databasesEnter and generate payroll for multiple states, multiple unions, federal contracts for approximately 150-200 employeesPrepare and process all payroll deductions, taxes, fringe benefits, and expensesMaintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactionsManage workflow to ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and timelyMaintaining employee records of vacation, sick time, reimbursables, and per diemsResponding to payroll-related inquiriesPreparing periodic payroll reports for review by management. i.e. 401k reports, salary tracker report, etc.Uploading Union benefits to appropriate portalsProcessing Certified Payroll Reports for the Richard Group Self-Performance DivisionAssist with processing new employee onboarding paperwork and payroll setupProvide support for various administrative functions (i.e. paper and electronic filing, misc. employee support regarding payroll questions, employee onboarding, etc.)Ensure compliance with Union agreements, accurate payroll processing with the multiple pay rates and classifications, deductions and contributionsCollaborate with other home office departments to assist in payroll related mattersQualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceExperience in the Construction IndustryExperience with construction payroll software such as Sage, Foundation, etc.Experience with Davis Bacon-Prevailing wage or Union required projectsExperience with federal construction projectsExperience with multi-union labor payroll and understanding of union agreements.Knowledge of with Multi-State PayrollAbility to process and manage payroll in a confidential mannerSelf-motivator with strong problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize and manage timeProficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and ExcelDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team and under tight deadlines.At Richard, we believe in showing the same gratitude and care to our team members that we do in our projects.
