Our client, a growing company in the energy sector, is seeking a Benefits Analyst to join their Human Resources team. This role will support the day-to-day administration of employee benefits, including health and welfare plans, wellness programs, and retirement plans. The ideal candidate has experience in benefits administration and a strong understanding of compliance and employee support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with benefits plan management and daily operations.
- Respond to employee benefits inquiries and resolve issues.
- Coordinate with benefits vendors to ensure seamless service.
- Support the annual open enrollment process and leave administration.
- Maintain employee benefits records, handle enrollments, terminations, COBRA, and compliance requirements.
- Analyze benefits usage, costs, and trends to support plan design improvements.
- Participate in plan audits and compliance reviews.
- Assist the broader HR team with special projects.
Qualifications:
- 1–5 years of benefits administration experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and HRIS systems (preferably ADP WorkforceNow).
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of employee benefits programs.
- Basic knowledge of federal and state regulations (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, etc.).
- Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Working toward SHRM or CEBS designations is a plus.
