Duties And Responsibilities
Education
- Download and distribute daily bank reporting.
- Accurately post all cash receipts to customer accounts including payments made by credit card, lockbox, ACH, and wires daily.
- Balance cash posted against deposit reports daily and monthly.
- Research, resolve and reduce the balance of aged unapplied cash receipts and postings to customer accounts.
- Research and resolve discrepancies with payors and banking institutions.
- Assist in streamlining the cash application process.
- Support the AR Manager to resolve credit, deduction, and cash application issues.
- Work with the Billing department to resolve payment to invoice discrepancies.
- Analyze customer accounts for any adjustments.
- Review and gather new customer information including credit application and company credit report to set up new customer accounts.
- Assist the AR Manager in developing, implementing and monitoring SOP's to research and reduce unapplied cash in a cost-effective way, investigate methods of improving the capabilities of the organization through changes in structure, technology or method.
- Meet or beat performance metric goals established by management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred; high school diploma required
- Must have 5 years of work experience in a Cash Application role.
- Must have 3-5 years of work experience in Customer Collections
- Knowledge of Vista Viewpoint preferred.
- Intermediate to Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, Macros), required.
- Experience using SharePoint, Power BI, and TRACK.
- The ability to quickly navigate several systems and spreadsheets in parallel.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and accounts receivable processes.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with both internal and external customers.
- Ability to work with a diversity of people across the organization at various skill levels.
- Ability to perform business math (percentages, ratios, discounts, etc).
- Well organized, strong attention-to-detail, analytical, critical thinking, and follow-through.
- The ability to multi-task.
- Strong interpersonal and accountability skills, along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
