Aggressively expanding established 300 location retailer seeks East Coast Director of Construction to be based in Mid Atlantic US.
As the Director of Construction, individual hired will lead the construction function focused on retail store growth. This company is aggressively expanding through out the East Coast and this person will lead the development of construction programs and plans and lead the organization, coordination, and execution of construction projects. They will also participate in and support the vision and strategy development and decision-making for the whole company.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist the Real Estate Team on development of developer standards and protocols and ensure specific delivery of Developer delivered locations in adherence to company standards.
- Lead Construction from real estate handoff of land use approvals and construction permits, general contractor bids and awards, equipment procurement and ordering through final closeout and clean turnover.
What we are looking for (Qualifications and Experience)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a similar field of study required (Master’s preferred)
- 7 years of experience in interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives within medium to long time frames
- 10 years of experience in providing leadership to others regarding work related systems, processes and challenges
- Proven ability to successfully plan, organize, and create action plans to efficiently meet business objectives
