A leading energy infrastructure company is seeking a Plant Technology Administrator to support the deployment, maintenance, and operational readiness of plant technology (PT) and telecom systems at one of their major Gulf Coast facilities. This role is based onsite in Cameron, Louisiana, with travel to other plant or corporate sites as needed. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in industrial systems and infrastructure, along with experience coordinating with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a key contributor to the implementation and readiness of plant technology systems, including industrial networks and associated software/hardware.
- Work closely with project leadership, engineering partners, and vendors to ensure systems are installed, tested, and operating per design.
- Support both installation/commissioning and break/fix activities for PT and telecom systems such as CCTV, access control, firewalls, and servers.
- Collaborate with on-site IT teams and support active operations from a PT perspective.
- Provide ongoing recommendations to improve or maintain cost efficiency across infrastructure components.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress and challenges to leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or a technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in plant technology systems and infrastructure.
- Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in at least 3 of the following: CCTV, access control, PAGA, firewalls, server infrastructure, L3 networking, data aggregation, or visualization tools.
- Experience working with industrial or operational technology environments.
- Solid understanding of project management fundamentals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
