The Analyst, Reporting & Position Control position is responsible for supporting the monitoring and reporting of all physical and paper commodity trades using the commercial department's deal capture, position reporting and risk management systems. The position serves as an expert resource to the position control and risk analysis functions, solving problems, working special projects, training new analysts and backing up analysts during transitions.

- Analyze and explain daily business unit positions, exposures, and P&L with accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile physical and financial positions with system records to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Provide business insights on monthly financial results and maintain compliance with risk policies and trading controls.
- Deliver daily exposure data for VaR calculations and backtesting.
- Conduct regression testing for system upgrades and support trading scenario modeling.
- Offer ad hoc analysis and decision-making support to commercial teams.
- Serve as backup for other regions or products to ensure uninterrupted desk coverage.
- Validate prices for accurate valuation and mark-to-market processes.
- 3-5 years of experience in Gas/Power
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Market risk role or energy commodity trading experience
- Ability to work with and be part of several different teams in an open trade floor environment
- Ability to juggle tasks in a fast-paced work environment in order to drive consistent process improvement and meet deadlines
- Keen attention to detail
