Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform various cleaning tasks efficiently.
Duties
- Perform industrial cleaning tasks in commercial and residential settings.
- Conduct regular facilities maintenance to ensure all areas are well-kept.
- Execute custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and vacuuming floors.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, and surfaces as needed.
- Assist with porter duties such as moving furniture or equipment when required.
- Carry out residential painting tasks when necessary.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Follow safety protocols and use cleaning supplies appropriately.
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is a plus.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning environments is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
