What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional (DSP) Supports- Towson position at Richcroft, Inc.?
We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands on care to an individual with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. Support Services professionals assist individuals and families living in their personal home.
Services provided are personalized and directed by the individual receiving supports and may include but are not limited to: assistance with personal hygiene, activities/outings, social engagement, and shopping.
The hours for this position are: 5-10hours/ weekDays and hours flexible- determined by activities.
Support staff needed to assist a young man with independent living skills, community activities and going out to eat (when safe/appropriate), playing games, puzzles, socialization, staying active, and other activities as desired. Support Services DSP’s receive mileage and activity reimbursements!
Paid trainings, including CPR/First AidDSP’s assist with creating opportunities for individuals to live full and productive lives by:
Assisting with participation and exploration of the community
Cultivating and expanding independent living skills
Assisting with development of meaningful and personal relationships
Implementing strategies to achieve individuals’ personal goals
Eligible candidates must have a high school degree/GED and a current driver’s license with less than three points on their driving record.
Candidates must be fully vaccinated or undergo weekly testing for COVID-19 to ensure compliance with enhanced health and safety protocols and to keep yourself and others safe and free from illness.
