FT Weekday - Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Support Services/ Bel Air- Harford County
Rate of Pay $22/hr
FLSA Status- Non-exempt
We are seeking a Full Time Personal Supports (DSP) to provide hands-on care to individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities providing assistance with personal hygiene, activities/ outings, social engagement, shopping, planning, cooking, and cleaning.
This position is:
Monday- Friday 9a-3p
Services provided in the community
The schedule is subject to flexibility due to the needs of the individuals supported.
Support needed to assist a young man with autism in the Bel Air area. Assist with developing a full and meaningful week of activities in the community while developing skills needed to be as independent as possible. Visit local stores, restaurants, bowling, exercise, crafts, bingo, volunteering. Work on money management, communication, and socialization skills. Experience with autism a plus. I like flexibility in my day to end an activity when I am done.
The right staff will be patient, kind, and respectful. They should be energetic and able to help me come up with ideas for activities each week.
Some lift and transfer may be required.
Paid training, including CPR/First Aid, and opportunities to obtain Med Tech Certification!

Eligible candidates must have a high school degree/GED and a current driver’s license with less than three points on the driving record.
Must be at least 20 years old
Must have at least 2 years of driving experience
Rate of pay *$22/hr.*
* Regular Base rate is $22/hr. There is an additional $1/hr. shift differential for weekend shifts. ($22 $1=$23/hr.)
