Maintenance Clerk (2nd Shift)

Facilities ClerkJob Classification : HourlyReports to : Facilities SupervisorThe Quality Technician performs routine daily tasks that ensure the products manufactured meet food safety, regulatory and quality requirements. Various tests are performed, and results are recorded and reported daily. This position offers a wide variety of interaction with all members of the plant team and exposure to the entire manufacturing process.Responsibilities :

• Maintenance Coordination : Assist in coordinating maintenance activities for equipment, machinery, and infrastructure within the food processing plant. They schedule repairs, track work orders, and ensure timely completion. Maintain the Physical infrastructure of the plant including lighting, HVAC systems, plumbing, and other facilities-related components.
• Inventory Management : They maintain records of spare parts, tools, and supplies needed for facility maintenance. This includes tracking inventory levels, ordering replacements, and managing stock.
• Documentation and Reporting : Facilities clerks keep detailed records related to maintenance tasks, inspections, and safety protocols. They prepare reports on maintenance activities, expenses, and compliance.
• Vendor Communication : They liaise with external vendors and contractors for repairs, servicing, and installations. Effective communication ensures timely resolution of facility-related issues.
• Safety Compliance : Ensuring compliance with safety regulations is paramount. Facilities clerks participate in safety audits, monitor safety procedures, and address any violations promptly.
• Space Management : They assist in organizing and optimizing facility layouts, storage areas, and workspaces. Efficient space utilization contributes to productivity.
• Visitor Tours : In some cases, facilities clerks may guide visitors, potential investors, or auditors during facility tours. They highlight safety measures, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.Desired Skills :
• Microsoft Office : Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word is essential for managing communication, data, and documentation.
• Attention to Detail : Facilities clerks must meticulously track inventory, maintenance schedules, and safety protocols.
• Industry Knowledge : Familiarity with food processing regulations, safety standards, and industry-specific practices.
• Continuing Education : Staying updated on industry trends and best practices through training and education.
