Richelieu Foods, Inc., a leading supplier of high-quality food products to the private label and food service industries, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor on first shift to oversee the maintenance technicians and repairs of electrical, mechanical, PLC, and other building support systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and direct the maintenance operations to ensure the plant meets the daily production schedule while ensuring product standards meet or exceed our customers’ expectations.
- Hires and trains maintenance department staff.
- Organizes and oversees the work schedules and work quality of maintenance staff.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive and improves performance and employee engagement.
- Documents and communicates maintenance work performed to the organization.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Sets priorities for the maintenance team to ensure task completion. Coordinates work activities with leads to support daily objectives.
- Evaluates systems or facilities systems to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.
- Enters work orders into CMMS system.
- Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner. Performs audits as required.
- Ensure individual and team compliance with all food regulatory requirements and ensure adherence to food safety and GMP's.
- All other duties as assigned by Management or volunteered for.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with management, employees, suppliers, and vendors.

- Considerable knowledge of Automated equipment, PLC, Electrical, Mechanical, and building systems such as hot water and boiler systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to communicate to all levels of knowledge and experience.
- Ability to identify issues and determine repairs appropriate repairs.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Experience with CMMS systems and concepts. Familiar with planning and schedule
- High school diploma or equivalent required. College or technical degree is a plus.
- At least five years of tactical maintenance management experience in an industrial environment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The work environment is cold (30 to 35 degree) on the manufacturing floor.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for the duration of the production shift. The employee is frequently required to walk. You may be required to frequently climb, stoop, kneel, or crouch, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
