Job Summary
At Richelieu Foods, we make Great Food from Great People. We are looking for a 1st Shift Material Handler:
Essential Functions
Transport all needed supplies correctly and on time to the required line or pre-batch area.
Communicate with internal customers to determine proper quantities and placement of items needed
Responsible for complying with good manufacturing practices, maintaining proper sanitation and housekeeping in the area.
Properly put away any warehouse picks
Communicate and coordinate with other Material Handlers to ensure efficient operation of the department
Inform proper departments or supervisors of any issues or concerns
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Handle and transport materials and equipment as needed (E.g., Forklift operation)
Understand and verify the quantity/weight calculations to keep track of material consumption.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
2 Years of consistent and safe forklift operation on a stand-up forklift
The ability to read and understand line schedules and material needs
Positive attendance record
Safe operation of stand-up fork truck
Desired Qualifications
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Competencies
Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
Technical Capacity
Ability to work cooperatively and maintain a professional working relationship with employees
Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written required.
Good organizational skills required

Lift on up to overhead Rarely 5 pounds
Carry on up to 25 feet Rarely 5 pounds
