Key Responsibilities
As a vital role charged with the management of both people and processes, the Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing a wide variety of warehousing activities including shipping/receiving and picking/packing. This person will report directly to the Warehouse Manager.
- Lead a team that covers the areas of shipping/receiving and picking/packing/put-away
- Managing employees in multliple shifts 7 am until 8 pm
- Responsible for training, coaching, planning and assigning daily work, ensuring safety rules and other policies/procedures are adhered to, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems
- Meet warehouse operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews, implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, resolving problems and identifying warehouse system improvements
- Maintain warehouse by keeping floor space organized, adhere to warehouse design principles, and recommend improvement opportunities
- Keep equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, handling preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs
- Stay up to date with job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities

- Perform any other related duties assigned by immediate supervisor
- Position may require lifting/pushing/carrying items up to 50 pounds, working around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals
- Daily follow up on non-confirmed receptions and outstanding license plates to complete all receptions in timely manner.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in a similar management position
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience with inventory management, cycle counting, logistics, forklift operation, and warehouse management
- Key Performance Indicator (KPI) oriented, well organized
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience
- Material handling Equipment certified (Reach Truck, Forklift, Order Picker)
- Computer skills (As400 and Outlook a plus)
- Knowledge of unloading practices and BOL maintenance including exceptions and initiating claims
- Understanding of warehouse practices including primary picking locations / sequences as well as down stocking procedures
