What Our Tax Managers Do:
- Planning and managing multiple client engagement and simultaneously
- Reviewing complex tax returns including federal and multi-state returns for a variety of businesses and their owners
- Understanding your client goals and needs and servicing clients appropriately
- Owning client relationships and related work
- Strategizing with Managing Directors regarding tax planning to capitalize on opportunities and minimize risk
- Researching tax issues and providing guidance to clients
- Working closely with staff, and assisting senior management in mentoring, coaching, training, supervising, and evaluating staff

Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or related discipline, Masters in Taxation a plus
- 5 years of US tax consulting/ compliance experience in public accounting. Experience with a wide variety of entity types
- CPA license required
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Strong project management and leadership skills including the ability to successfully coach and mentor talented people
- Technical proficiency in tax software and research applications
- Strong research, writing and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages Tax Supervisors, Senior Tax Associates, Tax Associates and Tax Interns. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
