We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team and provide compassionate care to our animal patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the veterinary team, including preparing animals for examination, assisting with medical procedures, and cleaning and sanitizing rooms and equipment for patient safety. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a passion for animals, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the veterinarian and veterinary technician in the examination and treatment of animals.
- Provide care for hospitalized animals, including feeding, cleaning, and monitoring vital signs.
- Assist in laboratory procedures, such as running blood samples and preparing slides for microscopic examination.
- Communicating with the veterinary team the needs of pets and clients.
- Keeping the hospital environment clean and sanitary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
