What are the responsibilities and job description for the Montessori Infant Classroom Assistant position at Richland Academy?
Assist in the implementation of daily program activities under the guidance of the Classroom Teacher(s), Program Director(s) and Head of School.
Foster a positive and collaborative learning environment where the unique needs of all children are met.
Be patient and caring with all children.
Attend any required staff meetings or trainings.
Assist in making materials as requested to develop curricular areas.
Meet Department of Human Services requirements for twelve annual hours of Continuing Education.
Assist with any other task deemed necessary by the Classroom Teacher(s), Program Director(s) and Head of School.
REQUIREMENTS
Good verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn and apply the Montessori method
Have a physical and be physically able to work with children
Able to interact with people who are of diverse cultural backgrounds
Must have own personal means of transportation or access to public transportation
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
**Please note that pay depends on experience and starts at $10.50
Must be able to pass the following clearances:
· Report of criminal history from the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP)
· Child Abuse History Clearance from the Department of Human Services (Child Abuse)
· Fingerprint based federal criminal history submitted through the Pennsylvania State Police or its authorized agent (FBI)
· A verification letter confirming their name search results on the National Crime Information Center's National Sex Offender Registry (NSOR)
