SUMMARY:
The Richland-Bean Blossom Community School Corporation’s Extended Day Program goals are:
To provide safe, affordable, high quality before and after school care for children while parents work or attend school
The design of the program allows for a safe environment while actively involving children in enriching experiences during before and after school hours when parents are working or in school.
The Before School Component operates from 6:30 – 8:30 a.m. following the RBBCSC calendar.
The After School Component operates from 3:15 – 5:45 p.m. following the RBBCSC calendar.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
assist to engage students in weekly activities and programs
assist in implementing EPS procedures and expectations
promote student safety
other duties as assigned by administration
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duties satisfactorily. LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to students, parents and/or staff.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to use appropriate language and accompanying techniques with adolescents on a one-to-one basis as well as in groups. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents; skill in oral and written communication.
