What are the responsibilities and job description for the Zoning Analyst position at Richland County Government?
Under general supervision, performs technical and professional work in the enforcement of local ordinances concerning zoning and land use in the Planning and Development Services Department. Work involves researching existing zoning, plats and application submissions for map amendments; enforcing the Richland County Land Development Code; assisting with site plan review; assisting the public with any questions related to zoning; map amendments; determining if land uses are compliant with the Land Development Code; assisting with pre-application meetings; research and information on zoning violations; researches files and the Land Development Code for information for specific land use issues, site plan reviews, map amendments and/or cases for the Board of Zoning Appeals; Employee must exercise independent judgment and attention to detail in all phases of work. Employee must also exercise good customer service when dealing with contractors, landowners and the general public. Reports to the Zoning Administrator.
