Location: Richland County First Steps
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (occasional evenings and weekends)
Salary Range: $80,000 – $90,000
Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Richland County First Steps is looking for a Programs Director to lead, develop, and expand our early intervention programs. This role offers a chance to guide impactful programs with a strong focus on community and early childhood education—while enjoying paid benefits, generous PTO, consistent weekday hours, and a 3% retirement match.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development: Design, implement, and enhance programs that align with our mission and community needs.
- Team Leadership: Lead a talented team to maintain high performance and program excellence.
- Compliance & Grants Management: Oversee funding requirements, compliance, and grants to maximize resources.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent our programs, building strong partnerships with funders and community members.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and 7 years in program management, ideally with Early Head Start/Head Start experience.
- Knowledge of EHS & SC Endeavors: Familiarity with EHS funding requirements and compliance.
- Leadership Skills: A team-focused leader with experience managing people and programs to meet organizational goals.
