Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead team practices, conditioning, and game strategies.
- Teach fundamental basketball skills and advanced techniques.
- Supervise athletes during practices, games, and travel.
- Promote a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration.
- Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic regulations.
- Coordinate with the athletic director regarding scheduling, budgeting, and program needs.
- Serve as a role model by demonstrating good sportsmanship, leadership, and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching or playing experience in basketball (preferred).
- Knowledge of basketball rules, strategies, and player development.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience coaching at the junior high or high school level.
